A Project Engineer I plays a critical role in the design and delivery of robotic Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS). This position collaborates with cross-functional teams, suppliers, customers, and industry partners to ensure the successful implementation of warehouse automation solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including equipment specifications, system layouts, as-built drawings, and operation manuals.
  • Review and revise detailed drawings to ensure technical feasibility using AutoCAD and/or other 3D modeling software.
  • Evaluate equipment installation to ensure compliance with product requirements, using measuring tools such as calipers, laser tape measures, and plumb bobs.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure project requirements are clearly specified and the delivered equipment conforms to those specifications.
  • Serve as the technical point of contact, address technical inquiries, and ensure seamless system integration and design compatibility.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the successful implementation of robotic ASRS solutions.

 

Qualifications

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

Required Experience and Skills

  • New graduates will be considered; experience in robotics, industrial automation, or materials handling is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or other 3D modeling software.
  • Familiarity with common measuring tools, including calipers, laser tape measures, and plumb bobs.
  • Ability to review technical drawings and documentation and identify design or installation issues.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

 

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in both office and warehouse or customer-site environments.
  • Ability to safely access and inspect equipment installation areas and use standard measuring tools.
  • Travel up to 50%, primarily domestic, with some international travel as business needs require.
